When is Sierra Leone Diaspora Week?

Diaspora Week runs from December 28, 2026 through January 5, 2027 in Freetown, Sierra Leone. Venues, times and meeting points will be published as they are confirmed.

What is included in the nine-day programme?

The programme opens with the two-day Sierra Leone Diaspora Investment Conference on December 28-29, followed by Diaspora Sports Day and a beach bonfire, partner-led New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day activations, The Song of Njama on January 2, a rest and optional-events day on January 3, the Diaspora Investment Bootcamp on January 4, and the Trade, Agribusiness & Eco-Tourism Tour on January 5.

Is Diaspora Week organized by the SLDIC team?

Yes. Sierra Leone Diaspora Week is presented by the Sierra Leone Diaspora Investment Conference and expands the conference into a wider business and cultural programme.

Which passes are planned?

The planned tiers are the free Welcome Pass, the two-day Conference Pass at $125, the Exhibitor/Vendor Pass at $500, and the VIP Business Meets Culture All-Access Pass at an early price of $325 through November 1. Ticket sales are not open yet.

Does the Welcome Pass require registration?

Yes. The Welcome Pass is free, but registration is required. Detailed access boundaries for the December 28 conference sessions and Welcome Cocktail will be published before registration opens.

What does the early VIP pass include?

The $325 early VIP offer includes the two-day conference, the Diaspora Investment Bootcamp and the Trade, Agribusiness & Eco-Tourism Tour. These components have a combined stated value of $450, so the early VIP offer saves $125. The early offer ends November 1; the standard VIP price and access rules for partner or optional events are still to be confirmed.

How does the Exhibitor/Vendor Pass work?

The Exhibitor/Vendor Pass is listed at $500. Booth dimensions, included admissions, selection criteria and the application process will be published before applications or sales open.

Which currency will be charged?

Prices are currently published in US dollars. Sierra Leone’s current currency code is SLE. Any SLE checkout price will be displayed only after an approved fixed conversion rate and a supported payment process are confirmed; no live USD/SLE checkout toggle has been activated.

Are transport, meals and accommodation included?

Do not assume transport, meals or accommodation are included unless they are specifically listed with a pass. Tour transport, pickup points, routes and return details will be published before sales open.

Can I transfer an existing Silver Spring ticket to Freetown 2026?

Existing Silver Spring ticket holders may request a transfer to Freetown 2026. The transfer deadline and any price-difference rules will be published before registration opens.

Can I use my existing ticket for Silver Spring 2027?

Existing ticket holders may request credit toward the June 11, 2027 Silver Spring edition. The team will publish the credit process and deadline before registration opens.

Can I request a refund?

A full refund is one option for existing Silver Spring ticket holders. Refund timing depends on the original payment method and financial institution. Contact support with the original order number so the request can be matched correctly.

What are the cancellation, transfer and refund deadlines?

Final deadlines and request instructions will be published before registration opens. Until then, contact the team before making travel or accommodation commitments based on an unconfirmed activity.
